The Opportunity
King Living is in search for a personable, dynamic, and dependable Service Technician. This role is responsible for assessing customer issues, attending to repairs and post delivery maintenance while maintaining the highest standard of Customer Service.
  
We are looking for a technically skilled service technician to travel to customers’ homes to perform, inspect, repair and evaluate customer service issues. As a Service Technician you will be responsible for the repair and restoration process of assembled furniture in accordance with the King Living standards.
  
This role reports into our Regional Retail Manager – Northern America and will have the full support of both the Canadian team but also the Service & Parts team based in Australia.
  
As part of the King Living team, you should be a proactive individual who is autonomous and focused on providing the best outcome to our customers.

The Role
  • To report detailed technical findings back to the Customer Service team with the outcome of service calls
  • To carry out inspections ascertaining the cause of an issue and repair to the highest possible level
  • To ensure all repairs meet KING quality standard and are free from defect
  • To ensure all relevant information has been gathered to ensure all required work has been carried out correctly
  • To take responsibility for the issue through the repair process and guarantee its quality at the end
  • To ensure the customer is satisfied with the service provided
  • Attain a high number of 5-star Product Reviews.
  • Attain a high percentage of cases fixed on first call out.
  • Ensure that your work is to the best of your ability and meets the required standard.  
  • Be punctual and responsible. 
  • Establish and build customer relationships whilst delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Support other Service Technician with in-home visits to assess customer service issues.
  • Educate the King Living customer on how to better care for their King Furniture and improve the longevity of their sofa.
  • Promote the sales of King Care Services and goodwill of King Living.
  
About You
  • Background as a field service technician
  • Knowledge and understanding on basic electrical circuits
  • Proficiency in use of power and hand tools
  • Experience in repairing both fabric and leather sofa (desirable)
  • Knowledge of furniture industry would be welcomed
  • Fill driver’s license
  • Enthusiastic and committed
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in various departments spanning different countries.
